Albert Ghiorso (ur. 15 lipca 1915 w Vallejo) – amerykański naukowiec, odkrywca pierwiastków chemicznych. Studiował na uniwersytecie w Berkeley.

Przed ujawnieniem skandalu z odkryciem 118 pierwiastka koledzy Ghiorso z Uniwersytetu Berkeley zaproponowali nadanie temu pierwiastkowi nazwy Ghiorsium.
