Die Choanata sind ein Taxon, in dem die ausgestorbenen Osteolepiformes, die Lungenfische (Dipnoi) und die Landwirbeltiere (Tetrapoda) zusammengefasst werden. Als gemeinsames Merkmal haben sie eine Verbindung von der Nase in den Rachenraum, die Choane.
